This process creates a thin layer of coating on metal objects, such as chains, findings etc. The electroplating slows the rate of oxidation rate and extends the lifespan of the item when used as an accessory. Generally, gold/silver/copper plating preserves the color of the metal from only a few hours to several days. ATC can maintain the accessory's color for a much longer period as long as the handler is careful as to not expose the product to moisture or sweat. Since the electroplating process is performed in high temperature conditions, the resulting coating color may be slightly different from other products of the same color.
